FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is a side by side better than a standard atv?

A: The side by side seating configuration is more beneficial in multiple ways. The stability of a side by side off road vehicle is the most predominant feature. Side by side seating also allows for better communication between the passenger and driver. The side by side seating does however increase the stance (or width) of the atv and this can be a disadvantage on narrow trails or roads.

Q: How hard is it to repair a UTV?

A: Most UTV repairs can be done at home. Service manuals are designed for the home mechanic and side by sides are typically designed with siplicity in mind. Major engine repairs however, are best left to the professionals.

Q: What does UTV mean?

A: Utility Terrain Vehicle

Q: What does XUV mean?

A: XUV is another acronym for side y side utility vehicle.

Q: What does MUV mean?

A: The acronym MUV means multi-use vehicle.

Q: What is the best brand of UTV?

A: This answer is completely relative. Each manufacturer has strong points and design weaknesses.

Q: What is the most powerful UTV?

A: This question has an ever changing answer. The continuous release of new models dictates the most powerful UTV available.

Q: Is a side by side safer than a standard ATV?

A: This question remains open for discussion. An ATV or UTV is only as safe as it's operator. The terrain plays an important role as well. The speed of travel is also a major factor in safety. There is no question that horizontal stability is improved in a side by side ATV versus the standard fron to rear seating, however multiple factors make this question difficult to answer.
